Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok—which platform is right for your business?

By Per · July 14, 2026 · 4-minute read

"Which platform should I even post on?"—that's the question I hear most often. The short answer: It depends on who you want to reach. Here's the long answer.

Facebook: For the Region and Regular Customers

People love to declare Facebook dead, but it's very much alive in rural areas. There are lots of people here aged 35 and up—often right in your own neighborhood.

Instagram: For That First Impression

Instagram thrives on photos and short videos (Reels). If you want to know what things look and taste like at your place, check it out here.

TikTok: for reach and a younger audience

TikTok also connects you with people who don't know you yet—perfect if you want to grow your following.

One well-maintained platform is better than three half-hearted ones.

My advice: Start with one

You don't have to be everywhere. Choose the platform where your guests are, and get really good at it. The rest can wait.
